Formed in 2018 by lead guitarist, singer and songwriter David Kirkpatrick, Two Tone Pony came from a desire to write, perform and record original Australian music. Joined by fellow songwriter/guitarist Ian Rhodes and bass player Graham Puglisi, Glenn Willey on keyboards and Greg Richardson on drums, the band has honed their skills to have a diverse repertoire from acoustic ballads to soaring country rock.
Their sound is influenced by the early country rock scene of The Flying Burrito Brothers, The Byrds, Gram Parsons, Emmylou Harris and John Prine coupled with the rock influences of Neil Young and Tom Petty.
2023 has seen the band release three singles to critical and public acclaim whilst playing to appreciative crowds from their home turf on the NSW Central Coast to Charleville. Produced by Rod McCormack their music has been described as “music that wraps itself around you” and “makes you feel at home”. Look for more from Two Tone Pony in 2024!
