Lawrie is a Tamworth based multi-instrumentalist and multiple Golden Guitar winner. He was awarded the 2019 CMAA Musician of the Year and has played with the best in the business including Jimmy Barnes, Slim Dusty, Lee Kernaghan and James Blundell. Lawrie presently performs shows with his wife Shelley and also with rock legend Andrew Farriss (INXS). He has recently taken on the role of Musical Director for Australian indigenous artist Yirrmal.

As a side-line he builds guitar effects pedals and has a list of pro players including Stuie French (USA), Dom Turner (Backsliders), Nick Wolfe (Wolfe Brothers), Duncan Toombs, Bernd Voss (Spain) and Gypsy Dave Smith (UK) and many others.

He is also a busy session musician with his home studio being used for production work and also recording remotely for a diverse range of clients.

He plays various guitars/slide guitar, banjo, pedal steel, harmonica and keyboards.

He has been a professional musician for more than forty years and still going strong
