Born to sing and raised on Country and Gospel Music, Donella has a strong sense of who she is and what she wants to say and uses music and song to get her message across.
Donella’s recording and performing career started in 1992 when she recorded her debut album “Together for Christmas”.
She began her journey along the country music highway by busking on Tamworth’s Peel Street back in 1999. The following years were jam packed recording albums and touring nationally and internationally.
One of her biggest musical influences as she was growing up was Dolly Parton. Donella formed a close connection with Dolly's music and sounds so much like her idol that if you were to close your eyes, you would believe you were listening to the undisputed Queen of Country Music herself.
For over 20 years Donella has performed her own shows and her popular Dolly Parton Tribute for fans of all ages at Festivals around Australia and internationally.
With five successful albums under her belt, Country Radio single releases and many collaborations with other country music artists, Donella became a regular performer at the Tamworth and Mildura Country Music Festivals, as well as numerous festivals and events around Australia.
Donella took a break from touring and recording to focus her time and energy on being a full-time Mum.
In 2022, Donella made her long-awaited comeback headlining at the Nanango Country Music Festival in Queensland. Since then, she has enjoyed performing at the prestigious Tamworth Country Music Festival, The Bay of Islands Country Rock Festival NZ and other major festivals around Australia.
Whether it’s originals, covers or smashing out the hits of Dolly Parton, Donella brings her own style, energy, class and joy when she takes to the stage.
