Bush Poets Breakfast Show

The Longyard Hotel - Goonoo Goonoo Room

The Tradition continues with one of the Tamworth Country Music Festival’s longest running and most popular shows, the famous Longyard Bush Poets Breakfast! Each year Bush Poet Neil McArthur puts together a team of Australia’s funniest and favourite comedy poets and entertainers to join him on stage and bring two hours of mayhem and hysterical yarn spinning to enrapture the huge audiences who turn up day after day, year after year to this event. Seven Days and Seven completely different shows, where storytellers such as Marco Gliori, Murray Hartin, Greg Champion, Errol Grey, Ray Essery, Alan Glover, local lad Joey Reedy and many, many others tell their original yarns in Poetry and Song, stopping only to allow the audience to wipe away the tears of laughter or to avoid them choking on their delicious breakfast! This year will see a few new performers, even more hilarity and Aussie madness with some new, competitive Poetry Battles. If there is one show you need to get tickets for early in Tamworth, it’s this one.. Doors open 7am each day, show starts at 8am.
