Brookie Gillett

Tamworth Regional Gallery

Performing many years at the incomparable Woodford Folk Festival with Andrew Clermont's Supper Club. Brookie has been involved in Tamworth's musical theatre for many years, starring in Le Mis, The Secret Garden, and her most recent roles being Glinda the Good Witch of the North in Wicked, a dream come true - through to "Rent" this year. Her disarming character and witty songwriting have charmed over a decade of Supper Club audiences. She has recorded with Clermont's BluGuru at Enrec Studios and features on the Supper Club's 6 CD collection plus a grand delivery on the Live @ The Capitol Supper Club double DVD. A must-see. She has three young children who are all showing early signs of being musical geniuses! Her specialty is childhood music education. She has 20 years experience working with young children and families and understands the profound positive effects that musical opportunities have on all areas of a child's development and growth. Currently studying a Bachelor of Music, Brookie studied AMEB Pianoforte and Classical Voice, and also enjoys playing her original songs on the ukulele. She is a member of the Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association.
