Following a kaleidoscopic childhood, Niq studied in a real castle (true!) and after hearing James Brown, was awakened by jazz-fusion, funk and programatic music, eventually travelling to Sweden to study with renowned pedagogue, Bo Nillsohn. He returned with a Frank Zappa-fire, storming the east coast with mad costumes and ear worms and joined Sydney band Rhythm Hunters. Most recently he has been appearing in festivals and events across the country - adding a lot of Gypsy Klezmer touch to an already diverse sound - a true spice at Andrew Clermont's Supper Club!
