Born in Hawker SA, Virginia and Lynette are the youngest of seven children, born to musical parents.

The sisters are well respected for their musicianship, harmonies.
As a songwriter Virginia Hermel (Coad) has received numerous awards over the years, including 4 Golden Guitar nominations with her compositions recorded and released by their Runaway Dixie band.
